Police: Armonk Crash Injures One; Raccoons Invade Home

ARMONK, N.Y. – A three-car accident on Banksville Road in Armonk left one woman injured and closed down the road for around two hours, North Castle Police said.

On Aug. 21, police responded to an accident near 32 Banksville Road involving two cars and a truck.  Police said the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. and that one vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole.

The injured woman did not need to be transported to a hospital and the road was reopened around 6:30 p.m. after police and towing services were able to clear the damaged vehicles.

The following items were also reported in the police blotter news:

North Castle Police responded to an animal complaint last week as two raccoons managed to break into a resident’s home on Hadley Road in Armonk.  At around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, police said a resident called to report that the two wild animals broke into the home’s garage.  North Castle Animal Control was able to resolve the situation after an hour.  Police said that an undetermined amount of damage was caused to the home.

Police said that a resident walking along Wampus Lake Drive in Armonk on Aug. 22 heard a single gunshot from an unknown location near the road.  North Castle Police responded to the location and were unable to find a source of the shot.
