NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- North Castle police responded Monday, Aug. 17, to the report of a sick skunk at Miller Hill Park.
They dispatched the apparently ailing animal and the skunk’s body was later removed by Parks and Recreation employees.
In other items on the police blotter:
- A resident of Old Orchard Street complained Wednesday, Aug. 19, that people have been swimming in a lake on her property. Police responded and told the errant swimmers they would be charged with trespassing if they returned to the lake.
- Police responded Friday, Aug. 14, to a traffic accident on Leisure Farm Drive. A tow truck already was on the scene when police arrived. The operator of the second vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene, police said, and was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital by her husband.
- An employee at the Imperial Wok restaurant on North Broadway in White Plains reported two mirrors were stolen from another employee’s car.
- A resident of Hickory Kingdom Road called police Saturday, Aug. 15, to report a woman was walking in the middle of the road and he was concerned for her safety. The complainant told police the woman was staggering and had tripped. Police said she was gone on their arrival.
