North Castle Introduces Prescription Drug Bin

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – North Castle residents can now safely dispose of unwanted medications around-the-clock at their local police department.

The North Castle Police Department, along with town officials, have installed a bin that allows people to safely dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medications 24/7.

The bin is similar to a United States Postal Service mailbox and is in the lobby of the police department in North Castle Town Hall.

Properly disposing of pills, ointments, lotions, and liquids helps protect children as well as the planet, according to a press release from the police department.
