Man Faces Multiple Charges For Leaving I-684 Accident Scene

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- State Police arrested a Queens man on multiple charges after leaving the scene of an accident on I-684 in Bedford on Wednesday, Nov. 6, police officials said.

Calvin Johnson, 28, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marihuana, operating without a license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and other  traffic violations, according to State Police.

Johnson was stopped for leaving the scene of an accident on Interstate 684. A subsequent investigation revealed he was in an in possession of 1.2 grams of marijuana and was intoxicated, State Police said. 

Johnson is due to appear in Town of Bedford Court on Thursday, Nov. 21, according to State Police.
