About 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, a Washington Avenue resident reported that someone had hit her dog with a green vehicle and drove away from the scene.

The vehicle was possibly a Dodge Caravan and heading toward the Bronx River Parkway, the woman said.

Officers responded to the scene; no further information was listed in the blotter.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • About 8:35 a.m. Friday, May 8, a caller said he was driving near the Rye Lake Bridge when another driver cut him off and kept driving erratically. When they were at the traffic light on Old Orchard Street, the caller claimed that the erratic driver took a photo of him. He said the vehicle had driven toward White Plains. Because the caller did not have any descriptive information for the vehicle or its registration plate and at least 10 minutes had passed since the alleged incident, police could not take further action.
  • About 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, a woman reported that she saw two suspicious men in a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Sunrise Drive residence. A police officer checked into the situation and learned that the two men were waiting for other members of a crew assigned to work on that house.
  • About 11:15 a.m. Sunday, May 10, an animal control officer assisted with the transport of a Woodland Road resident’s dog to a veterinarian. The dog was very ill, but only the owner’s son was at the residence at the time.
  • About 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, a Washington Place resident reported to police that her daughter has a friend over that she does not want to remain on the property. Police officers responded to the home.
