A driver reported a hit-and-run accident on Middle Patent Road, where the other motorist sped off north on Bedford Banksville Road on Friday, June 6.
The complainant, who was not in possession of a cell phone at the time of the accident, was forced to drive back to his home to make the emergency 911 call, police said.
No injuries were reported.
According to police, the caller described the other vehicle as a white BMW convertible, driven by a white male. The vehicle reportedly has heavy front end damage. No other description was provided.
Police said they canvassed the area looking for the BMW or driver, but results came up negative. The crash is under investigation.

- On Saturday, June 10, a North Broadway resident reported to police that he had returned to his home to find that his door was damaged, along with several items inside the residence. The incident is under investigation.
- Con Edison was required the following day at a North Greenwich Road building in Armonk. where there was a reported gas leak. According to police, officers responded to the scene, where Con Edison crews were tending to a small leak near the intersection of Bedford Road and North Greenwich Road.
- Shortly before 8:30 a.m. that same day, police were dispatched to Route 22, near the area of I-684, where there were reports of an elderly woman in the median. Police said that the woman has reportedly been there multiple times and the caller “did not believe the area she is in is safe.” Upon arrival at the scene, officers reported that the woman was “alert and oriented and visiting with someone at the Bristal assisted living facility.”
- Police were dispatched to an abandoned Whippoorwill Road East home on Tuesday, June 13, when a neighbor spotted a second floor light on. Police said that after canvassing the property, there was only an unlocked window inside. The house is due up for auction later this month.
- Paramedics were required early on Wednesday morning at a Woodland Road residence, where there was reports of a 26-year-old woman overdosing on Xanax in the nearby cul-de-sac. According to police, the woman was treated at the scene and transported to Northern Westchester Hospital. Her condition was not immediately available on Thursday.
In total, there were more than 200 incidents reported to the North Castle Police Department during the week.
