Heroin Overdose Tops North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – A possible heroin overdose tops a recent North Castle Police Department blotter.

An Emmalon Avenue resident called the Police Department and said he believed his son had overdosed on heroin at about 2:50 p.m. on Friday. 

Paramedics and police officers responded to the scene, and transported the son to Westchester Medical Center.

No other information was listed in the blotter, other than the party was conscious at the scene.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • About 6:05 a.m. on Friday, May 1, a woman reported that an unknown person had broken the window of her vehicle parked on Business Park Drive.
  • About 4:05 p.m. on Friday, May 1, a citizen reported a possibly sick raccoon walking near School Street. A police officer responded to the area and could not find the animal.
  • About 5:10 p.m. on Friday, May 1, a Limestone Road resident called the Police Department claiming her son is refusing to pay rent to her. A police officer responded, informed the woman that such situations are civil court matters, and gave her information to pursue the issue further if she wished to do so.
  • About 2:20 p.m. on Monday, May 4, a citizen reported that a white van was driving erratically on Bedford Road.  
  • About 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, a Southern Westchester BOCES employee reported that a physical altercation had occurred between two 18-year-old students at the Rye Lake Campus. One student allegedly struck the other in the head with a stapler. Police officers and paramedics responded to the Old Orchard Street school.
