At about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, a school employee called authorities because there were several foxes spotted on the field. Two police officers responded, but there were no foxes when they arrived.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • At about 10:40 p.m. Friday, May 29, a woman staying at the La Quinta Inn on Business Park Drive called 911 regarding an argument she said she heard in a neighboring room. The caller said she heard a woman involved in the argument saying, “Don’t touch me, I’ll call the police.” She called the hotel front desk, but said employees would not call authorities because the guests involved had not requested assistance. Two police officers responded to the La Quinta Inn; no further information was listed in the blotter.
  • At about 4:50 p.m. Sunday, May 31, a Chestnut Ridge Road resident called police because her door was unlocked. Police checked inside the home and found no other signs of forced or unauthorized entry.
  • At about 7:40 a.m. Monday, June 1, a Maple Way resident called police about a red Mercedes that allegedly speeds along the street at about 7:15 a.m. each morning. Dispatchers passed the information on to patrols that monitor the Windmill area.
