Driver Who Hit Car At Armonk Store Backs Out Of Insurance Claim, Police Say

ARMONK, N.Y. - Police are investigating an incident where a driver welshed on a deal to pay damages caused following an accident in the parking lot of the Armonk Country Kitchen.

A report was made to the North Castle Police Department last week by a man who stated that another driver had struck his vehicle in the parking lot, causing extensive damage to the rear left bumper of a vehicle.

Police said that the man spoke with the other driver, who told him to repair the damage, and that he would pay. The bill ultimately came to $1,200, and the second driver backed out of their verbal agreement and has since refused to pay for the damages.

The victim was informed by police to file a civil claim through he North Castle Court and a Witness Deposition was filed by officers.
