A concerned citizen alerted authorities around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday that a dog had been left alone in a car on Main Street.
The windows had been left open just a few inches, the complainant told police.
Police were also summoned to the Rocky Ledge Swimming Association’s pool on Old Orchard Street in North White Plains.
A lifeguard there called 911 Friday after a 10-year-old child was reportedly hurt after diving into the pool’s shallow end.
The child was alert and conscious, but there was concern about possible neck and back injuries, police were told.
The child was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla to be examined and treated if necessary.
A Business on Bedford Road called police late Friday to report that an employee’s purse had been stolen from her car.
The thief smashed a side window to gain entry to the vehicle.
On Sunday, police got a call from a resident of Nethermont Avenue in North White Plains who said his son had passed out in the bathroom and hit his head.
The son was conscious and was taken to White Plains Hospital, police said.
Police received a call on Sunday from a someone who told them his father had been bicycling on Green Valley Road and had spotted someone riding a green Kawasaki dirt bike that looked like the one that had been stolen from their house in July.
The responding officer found a dirt bike at a residence on that road, but it turned out not to be the stolen one, police said.
On Wednesday, police received a complaint that someone was trying to shoot a beehive out of a tree near the entrance to the Jennie Clarkson Home, a residential school on Route 22.
Police found that the beehive was actually attached to a traffic signal.The Department of Transportation was contacted to oust the insects.
