Dog At Large Tops North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – A dog running at large near Bayberry Road tops a recent North Castle Police Department blotter.

About 11:35 a.m. Sunday, May 24, a concerned citizen called police and said there was a dog running loose.

The person later called police and informed them  the owner had shown up and retrieved the dog.

No further action was necessary, according to the blotter.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • At about 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, a North Greenwich Road resident reported a possibly rabid raccoon at the back of his property. A police officer responded, but could not catch the raccoon; the home owner was advised to call authorities again if the raccoon moved to a location in which it could be caught.
  • At about 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, a citizen called police and said a 4-year-old child was stuck in a seat belt in a van parked at Bedford Road. The child was crying, but not injured. Police officers responded to the situation; no further information was listed in the blotter.
