The state Department of Transportation was notified and the animal’s body was removed.

These are other police blotter items:

  • Sunday, Jan. 24: 2:30 p.m. A resident of Bedford Road came to police headquarters to report that his daughter’s laptop computer, which had been left at Byram Hills High School, has apparently been stolen.
  • Monday, Jan. 25: A Greenwich Road caller told police that two men were yelling at each other near Nick’s Corner Market, possibly as the result of a car accident. The vehicle was located.
  • A North Broadway resident called police around 1:55 p.m. to report that her boyfriend had threatened to blow up her house. She told police, they said, that there hadn’t been any physical contact and that her boyfriend had no weapons. The two officers that responded to the scene determined that the verbal dispute was resolved when the woman and man “separated for the day.”
