Child Locked In Car Tops North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- North Castle police responded to a Kingdom Ridge Road home about 4:15 p.m. on Monday, May 1, after receiving a call about a 2-year-old locked inside a car, according to authorities.

The boy, whose grandfather reported the incident, was said to be locked inside with the keys. 

By the time officers arrived, the matter had been "adjusted." There were no reports of injuries.

In other news, a town resident called police about 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, to report a large blue dumpster illegally placed on the side of General Heath Avenue, according to police.

An officer responded to the scene and found that the dumpster was not blocking the road and was scheduled to be removed the following day.
