Liridona Krasniqi, 24, and Maheer Issa Jamal, 27, who reside together on Wixon Pond Road in Mahopac, were arrested at about 4 a.m. Friday after officers armed with arrest warrants pulled over the car they were traveling in along Wixon Pond Road near their home.

According to the criminal complaints in the case, Jamal allegedly sold heroin to an undercover sheriff’s deputy on three occasions over the last two months. The drug sales were reportedly transacted at the front door of the suspects’ home while Krasniqi was present.

During the course of the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that the suspects had an arsenal of loaded firearms inside the house. With the assistance of the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office, the NEU obtained a court-ordered search warrant for the home, which was executed immediately after the suspects were taken into custody.

That search netted over 100 bags of heroin, a number of prescription pain-killer pills and concentrated cannabis.

The drugs have an estimated street value of three to four thousand dollars.

More than $1,500.00 in cash was also recovered in the home.
