ARMONK, N.Y. - Richard Vlachos, a longtime Armonk resident, died Friday, Nov. 8. He was 84.

Vlachos was born July 25, 1929, in New York City, to Harry and Frances (Cantley) Vlachos. He and his brother Mitchell owned a wholesale flower business in Manhattan's Flower District.

Vlachos is survived by his wife, Hannelore; daughters, Christine and Carolyn; son, Douglas; and three grandsons.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home . The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
