Gordon was born in Noblesville, Ind., son of Steve Gordon and Rita Gordon of Anderson, Ind., he had been an Easton resident since 2001. He grew up in Anderson, then lived in Indianapolis prior to relocating to Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a BS degree in Accounting. He was a certified public accountant and currently served as senior vice president of Finance at Swiss Re in Armonk, N.Y.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Cathie; and mother Rita; children, Jacob, Stephen and Rita Gordon of Easton; two step-children, Jennifer Stagon (Stephen) of Stafford Springs and James Hacker (Brittany); two step-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Gordon (Margaret) of Chesterton, Ind.; sister, Joni Deiters (Tom) of San Diego, Calif.; seven nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Steve.
Calling hours are Thursday, May 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A service to celebrate Gordon's life will be held Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Tom Wantond.
