Winter Storm Watch Issued For Armonk On Wednesday

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Mild temperatures will soon exit the area and be replaced by snow, which is likely to fall in Westchester County on Wednesday, the busiest travel day of the year, and possibly on Thanksgiving as well.

Temperatures will begin to drop on Tuesday, but will remain well above freezing with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for most of Westchester beginning on Wednesday at 7 a.m. through Thursday morning. 

Precipitation will likely begin as rain before 2 p.m., but will eventually switch over to snow during the evening hours. Up to 4 inches of snow could fall in northern parts of the county. 

Snow could linger into the early morning of Thanksgiving as well with a 30 percent chance of additional precipitation. 

Sunny skies will return on Friday with a high temperature of 38.
