James Cobb, 49, was charged with felony DWI/Drugs, driving with an open container, felony unlicensed operation, driving without a license and felony driving without an interlock device, after losing control of his vehicle at 141 Black Brook Road and driving into the pond, said Sgt. Richard Hubert.

Hubert said Cobb, who was able to get out of the vehicle before it sank in the water, was charged with felony DWI/Drugs because he has received another DWI within the past 10 years.

Witnesses said that right before the crash, Cobb lost control and swerved into the driveway of the last house in Bedford city limits, before weaving down the driveway and into the pond.

He is being held at the Westchester County Jail.
