Teen Skateboarder Dies After Being On Life Support In Westchester Hospital

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- A Mahopac High School student who had been on life support at Westchester Medical Center after being struck by a car Monday, June 6, died Saturday, reports lohud.com.

Michael Bongiovanni, 14, had been riding a skateboard in the area of Kia Ora Boulevard and Brookside Road in Carmel when he was hit by a car on Monday. He died of his injuries on Saturday.

Michael Bongiovanni, 14, had been riding a skateboard in the area of Kia Ora Boulevard and Brookside Road in Carmel when he was hit by a car driven by a Mahopac woman, reports lohud.com.

The 55-year-old driver wasn't charged in the accident and the teen wasn't wearing a helmet, according to lohud.com.
