'Team New Castle' Debates Chappaqua Crossing Plans

ARMONK, N.Y.-- Team New Castle 2013 is expressing concern about the potential negative impact that putting chain stores and restaurants in Chappaqua Crossing would have on the community.

Team New Castle 2013 is concerned about safety issues that will arise from having a retail center across from the high school, and the economic impact the shopping center will have on Millwood and Chappaqua downtown business districts.

Proposals for Chappaqua crossings could bring in national chains like Chipotle, Five Guys, PetCo and Staples.

Residents expressed concern over the proposed retail space at a Town Board meeting in May, citing traffic issues on Route 117 as a major sticking point.
