OSSINING, N.Y. – Two help teams will be deployed to Westchester in Ossining and Irvington this week to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid, Rep. Nita Lowey has announced.
Residents can visit the Sandy Help Teams on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in two locations: the Ossining Municipal Building, at 16 Croton Ave., and the Irvington Village Hall, at 85 Main St.
Eligible uses for the recovery aid include home repairs, elevations, buyouts, mitigation assistance and small business assistance. After an application is filled out, a meeting with a disaster recovery representative will be scheduled, a press release from Lowey’s office said.
Business recovery assistance is also available at the White Plains Outreach Center at the Business Council of Westchester (108 Corporate Park Drive, Suite 101, West Harrison, N.Y.) and Manhattanville College Center (2900 Purchase Street, Purchase).
