- New York State released the results of the Grades 3 to 8 English Language Assessments (ELA) and Math Assessment results for the Byram Hills School District Wednesday and the district fared better than the state average. In the state, 31.1 percent of grade 3-8 students met or exceeded the ELA proficiency standard; 31 percent met or exceeded the math proficiency standard.
- The Town Council of North Castle's "Zero Waste Days," which provide residents the opportunity to get rid of their electronic waste and scrap metal in a safe and efficient manner, take place on the first Saturdays of the month. Residents can dispose of computers, fax machines, televisions, and anything else electronic, in addition to scrap metal they may have.
- The federal government has filed a civil lawsuit against Westchester charging the county with violating the federal Safe Drinking Water Act.
