WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The mix of rain, sleet, slush and snow in Westchester County on Wednesday resulted in numerous accidents throughout the day.
The southbound Saw Mill River Parkway was closed in Mount Kisco following an accident between Route 133/Main Street and Croton Avenue (Exit 34) reported at 4 p.m.
A serious accident that occurred early in the afternoon took out the right lane on the southbound Saw Mill in Eastview between just south of Saw Mill Road (Exit 23).
An accident on westbound I-84 near the I-684 interchange, reported at 4:30 p.m., caused heavy delays.
A stretch of Route 202 in Yorktown Heights at the intersection of Baldwin Road near the police station was blocked by a downed tree in an incident reported just before 3 p.m.
An overturned vehicle accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers at Exit 5A.
A stretch of Route 6N in Mahopac Falls is closed following a downed tree and power lines at Red Mills.
A car vs. pole accident was reported at the intersection of Route 9A and Arrowcrest Drive in Croton at 3:45 p.m.
A rollover accident reported at 1:20 p.m. on northbound I-684 caused heavy delays near Route 120 (Exit 2) in Purchase.
A stretch of Route 22 in Bedford between Lake Avenue and Greenwich Road has been blocked since the early morning by a downed utility pole and wires.
There were also overturned vehicle accidents in the morning on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Kisco between Croton Avenue and Route 133/Main Street and on northbound Route 9A in Ossining between Hawkes Avenue and Cedar Lane.
