'Sexually Violent' Offender Reports Move In White Plains

A registered "sexually violent and predicate" sex offender convicted of sexually abusing a woman who was "incapable of consenting" and "physically helpless" has reported an address change in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 44-year-old Benjamin Dodoo, who has moved to an apartment on Central Avenue in White Plains.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Dodoo as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Dodoo had deviate sexual intercourse and contact with his 24-year-old victim in May 2003. He was arrested in White Plains and convicted of first-degree sexual abuse of a person incapcable of consenting and first-degree criminal sexual act on a victim who is physically helpless in October the following year. He is now under the jurisdcition of the White Plains City Police Department Detective Unit.
