Route 6 Crash Kills One, Injures Two On Somers-Yorktown Border

A multi-vehicle, head-on accident on the SomersYorktown border late Friday killed one unidentified woman and injured two others.

The accident, reported at 4:30 p.m., occurred on the westbound side near Windsor Road, just west of Mahopac Avenue.

Motorists were advised by Yorktown Police to avoid Route 6 between Mahopac Avenue and Curry Street in the hours after the crash.
