The Journal News reported this week that police had to be called to Of Our Own - his recently opened holistic wellness gym downtown - at approximately noon on Saturday, when a “distraught” woman reported to officers that Gordon had locked himself in the back of the building with a knife.
Gordon was reportedly seen by investigating officers with a box cutter in his possession, and emergency personnel had to cut through a window to let the woman out of the business. Police then entered the building and handcuffed Gordon.
The former Mount Vernon High School basketball superstar was later transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for evaluation. Police said that Gordon was not charged in the incident, which took about two hours and shut down Gramatan Avenue for a short time.
It was not clear if Gordon has been released, according to the report.
According to multiple reports, Gordon was arrested in Los Angeles in June after allegedly pulling fire alarms out of frustration when he was locked out of his apartment. Earlier this year, Gordon made an appearance for the Dallas Maverick’s G-League team.
Gordon celebrated the grand opening of Of Our Own late last month. The practice provides services that include Cryotherapy, facial stretch therapy, an array of massage, Chinese cupping and healing crystal therapy. Sports rehab training is also provided and there is basketball training for Mount Vernon children.
