Issuing the passes is a new endeavor for the town, which took over operation of the pool earlier this spring following a unanimous approval from the Town Board.

The Town Board voted at its April 23 meeting to approve rates for the passes, which operate on multiple pricing tiers. Passes purchased before June 1 are subject to lower "early bird" rates.

Under the early bird rates, North Castle residents' rates are $200 for an individual, $450 for a family, $45 for kids 5 and under, $75 for seniors 65 and older and $100 for a "daily," which is for individuals but entails an additional $8 per visit. After June 1, the respective rates are $300, $550, $65, $100 and $175. The latter still has the $8 per visit charge.

Non-residents can get early bird fees of $500 for individuals, $850 for families, $95 for kids 5 and under, and $250 for seniors 65 and older. After June 1, the respective rates are $650, $950, $105 and $350.

North Castle officials also approved a third rate tier, which is available to non-residents who reside in the Byram Hills Central School District. People who qualify can get early bird rates of $350 for individuals, $650 for families, $75 for kids 5 and under and $200 for a daily pass. The latter, like the residential daily pass, charges an $8 charge per visit. The school district tier does not have an option for senior citizens.

After June 1, the respective rates for the school district tier are $450, $750, $85 and $275. The latter still includes the $8 per visit charge.

Pass holders are allowed to have up to two guests per day.

The pool is scheduled to open May 23 and close Sept. 7.

The town notes that registration has to be done in person at the town's Recreation and Parks Department office, 40 Maple Ave., Armonk.
