ARMONK, N.Y. — A New Year's tradition may be on the brink of elimination: making resolutions. According to a 2012 poll conducted by Marist College, less than half of Americans plan on making resolutions for 2013. How about you, Armonk?

Marist's poll suggests 60 percent of Americans will not be making resolutions this year. Last year, 62 percent said the same thing.
For those who did make resolutions this year, 17 percent want to lose weight, 13 percent wish to quit smoking and 10 percent want to be better people. Nine percent intend to spend less money and 8 percent wish to exercise more. Seven percent want to eat healthier, 6 percent would like to improve their health and 5 percent want to get a better job.
