Police Groups Back North Castle's Diaconis For County Legislator Seat

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Two law enforcement organizations have endorsed John Diaconis’ campaign for Westchester county legislator, the candidate said.

Diaconis, an attorney and the former North Castle Democratic co-chairman, said he has the backing of both the Westchester County PBA and the Affiliated Police Association.

He is running in District 3 of the Westchester County Board ofLegislators.

In backing him, the two organizations cited his commitment to public safety, Diaconis said in a recent press release.

“We believe it is important that Westchester residents don’t sacrifice the safety of their communities for any reason,” said Westchester County PBA president Michael Hagan.

The PBA, Hagan added, “is happy to support candidates, like John Diaconis, who will stand up for the men and women that make our neighborhoods safe.”

Diaconis said local governments are facing constraints that make it hard to deliver services effectively without compromising the very things that define communities – like public safety.

District 3 comprises Briarcliff Manor, Greenburgh, Mount Pleasant, North Castle, Pleasantville and Sleepy Hollow.
