Lazansky was ahead on the Republican line 52 percent to 48 percent and the Democratic line 63 percent to 37 percent as of Wednesday afternoon.
In the Republican primary for town council, Stephen A. DAngelo held 37 percent of the vote Wednesday afternoon. Matthew F. Rice was close behind with 35 percent and Kerry Lutz followed with 28 percent.
