Meteor Shower's 'Shooting Stars' Will Light Up Armonk Skies

The first meteor display of the new year is expected to hit its peak very early Monday morning, and include an array of "shooting stars."

Meteor rates for the Quadrantid meteor shower are expected to start after midnight and peak between 3 a.m. and dawn on Monday, according to NASA.

Most meteor showers peak for a couple of days, but Quadrantids, known for bright, fireball meteors, peak only for a few hours early January each year.
