Flood Watch Issued For Westchester

No sooner did Westchester County dry up from the recent flooding from Hurricane Irene comes word now that even more flooding is on the way.  

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. Forecasters say an approaching cold front will stall over the region on Friday, bringing with it deep tropical moisture, and that's expected to dump upwards of one and one half to three inches of rain on our area. Some areas could see up to four inches of rainfall.

The heavy rains could cause flooding of small streams, urban and poor drainage areas and basements. 

The forecast calls for showers moving in on Friday, mainly after noon, high 72.  Friday night:; showers are likely. The rain could be heavy at times low 64. The outlook for Saturday, there's an 80 percent chance of showers throughout the day. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall high 72.
