The governor, in an effort to improve travel infrastructure across the state, said the grants -- totaling $200 million -- would be available to small airports like the Dutchess County airport, as well as large ones such as the Westchester County Airport, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Cuomo said the improvements to the airports would make the region more attractive for business, in addition to creating jobs, use “green” building techniques and focus on renewable energy, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.
