Don't Worry Armonk About Asteroid Flying By Earth Monday, Says NASA

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- While many Westchester residents will be watching for the start of a projected blizzard on Monday, there will be something else to keep an eye on as well.

An asteroid, designated 2004 BL86, is expected to fly by the Earth on Monday.

But, it will safely pass about three times the distance of Earth to the moon and will be more than 745,000 miles away on its closest approach, NASA is quick to point out.
