The pooch was spotted standing in the middle of busy Purchase Street (Route 120) by a motorcyclist on his way to work.

Mike Chadwick posted on the website, Lost Pets of Westchester County NY, that he pulled over, scooped up the shivering pup and kept him warm until police arrived.

Officers took the doggie to the Humane Society of Westchester’s shelter in New Rochelle, Chadwick said in his post.

“Was on my Harley otherwise I would have drove him house to house,” he wrote in the post.

The little lost soul was scared and cold, but otherwise in good shape, Chadwick wrote, adding: “I hope he finds his family soon!”

The dog appears to be a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

The Humane Society of Westchester is located at 70 Portman Road in New Rochelle. It can be reached by calling (914) 632-2925.
