ARMONK, N.Y. - For the past 14 years, Cheryl Lynch, owner of Cherylyn Salon North on Bedford Rd. in Armonk, has led fund raising drives for the Children's Cancer Fund. This year's drive takes place on Monday, Dec. 5 with a Fashion Show/Boutique that will be held at Brynwood Golf and Country Club in Armonk.
Attendees will view the fashion show and boutique and enjoy a three-course lunch. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are still available for the event and can purchased at the Cherylyn Salon or at Brynwood Golf and Country Club on Monday.
Lynch expects to raise about $10,000 this year and said she's raised almost $1 million since she began fundraising for children's cancer.
"I don't have any children with cancer but having children is the greatest thing ever," she said.
Lynch has worked on children's cancer fundraising with Dr. Somasundaram Jayabose, a doctor of pediatric oncology and hematology at the Westchester Hospital.
The Children's Cancer Fund is national in scope with a Westchester presence at the hospital.
