Cause Determined For Grand Central Outage As Power Slowly Is Restored

A a burst water pipe has been determined to be the cause as Grand Central Station's lower terminal went dark for hours starting Monday morning.

The outage, which began shortly after 9 a.m., did not affect Metro-North train service. Lights started to slowly come back on during the afternoon.

All stores and the Lexington Avenue entrances remained closed as a result of the outage.
