WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The wintry mix of precipitation that brought nearly a foot of snow to parts of Westchester finally has exited the area, with snow ending from west to east.

But it will leave bitter cold in its wake, with lows around 7 degrees and wind chills expected to be well below zero Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

As a result, hazardous travel conditions will continue through the early morning hours as a result of roads covered by snow and ice. Scattered power outages are also possible from falling tree limbs.

The latest winter storm dropped 10.7 inches of snow in Armonk, the highest total reported in Westchester, 9.2 inches in Scarsdale, 9.1 inches in Ardsley, 7.1 in Peekskill and 6.0 in Montrose.
