Banksville Nursery Owner Not Worried About Storm

BANKSVILLE, N.Y.- In the midst of all the hysteria about hurricane Irene local nursery owner Muffy Troy of Troy’s Garden Nurseries, is not worried one bit.

“We’re not panicking whatsoever,” Troy said. “I watched Mayor Bloomberg last-night and you would think the end of the world was coming.”

Troy is not worried at all for her plants and says Troy Nurseries is taking only minor precautions for the weekend storm.

“We can’t do anything now can we?” Troy said. “If it really does come we’ll just take all of our plants and lie them down, what else can we do?”

Troy has seen these types of storms before and she’s confident this one will make its way out to see before it reaches the northeast.

“It hasn’t hit North Carolina and it’s going to blow out a little bit down there and it’s going to hit cooler water up here,” Troy said. “That usually dissipates it.”
