For the past five years, the Frosty Day Parade is held to remember the lyricist Steve Nelson, who is supposed to have based the song on his times visiting Armonk.

This year the parade gets a new route, The Examiner News reports, starting on Old Route 22 at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and north along Main Street to Maple Avenue before turning right to go to the park ending at Wampus Brook Park for a 5 p.m. tree lighting ceremony.
