WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- With the sting of a brutally cold winter still in recent memory, Westchester County residents will be thankful to know the weekend and Mother's Day will provide a nice preview of summer.
High pressure will build throughout the Northeast and will allow temperatures to climb as high as 20 degrees above the average for this time of year.
Saturday and Sunday, Mother's Day, will be mostly sunny.
There will be areas of fog in the morning and a chance of drizzle after 9 p.m. Saturday with between 70 and 72 degrees.
On Sunday, Mother's Day, the temperature will warm up to 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
