WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The week should start off with some warm weather and sunshine, but rainier days could be ahead as the week moves along in Westchester County.
It's likely that a mostly sunny Monday with temperatures nearing 70 degrees will lead into a chance of showers beginning Monday night and continuing through the week, according to Accuweather.com .
"We should have some high temperatures well into the 60s," said Carl Erickson, senior meteorologist at Accuweather.com . "As you get closer to the water, you're probably going to get temps struggling to get into the 50s. So it could be a big difference there."
A brief respite from the rain could occur Tuesday afternoon with partly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees predicted.
There should be a slight chance of showers Tuesday night with a low around 46.
The chance for showers could continue Wednesday with a high near 59.
Temperatures on Thursday could rise into the low-60s but the chance of showers should continue into Friday.
