ARMONK, N.Y. -- An Armonk developer has won his fight to re-locate six affordable housing units to a spot in the hamlet’s business district, according to a report by theexaminernews.
Michael Fareri has been fighting to move the units from his condominium project on Bedford Road – the site of a former lumberyard – to Maple Avenue downtown, theexaminernews reported.
Fareri had argued mixing market-rate and affordable housing would make it harder for him to get financing and that the move would actually benefit the town financially as well, theexaminernews reported.
Board decided Wednesday, Feb. 24, to give Fareri the go-ahead, theexaminernews story said.
