Margaret A. Collins has stepped into the position, bringing with her a "depth and breadth of experience," said Albert A. Annunziata, the BI/BRI 's executive director, in a statement on Thursday, March 31.

"Her sales and editorial skills are exceptional, with notable publishers as diverse as The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Harper & Row Publishers and The Civil War Monitor magazine,” Annunziata said.

Annunziata further praised Collins for her skill "on the quantitative side of the creative process," noting that she values and is able to analyze critical information from BI/BRI members and advertisers.

“Margaret is truly a people-person," Annunziata said. "Her interpersonal skills have already made a big difference in our operations. In these few short weeks she has played a critical part in launching a major membership recruitment campaign and revitalizing our trade newspaper.”

“I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to contribute to membership growth at the BI/BRI as well as expanding their marketing and communications efforts,” Collins said. “The breadth and depth of the group is reflected in the vitality and relevance it has continued to maintain over 70 years. I’m delighted to be a part of it.”
