Mastroianni, Ex-Armonk Auto Shop Owner, Dies at 89

ARMONK, N.Y. - Former Armonk resident John R. Mastroianni died Nov. 6 at the age of 89. 

Mastroianni was born on May 2, 1922 to the late Raymond and Loretta Mastroianni. Also a former White Plains resident, he was the owner of Auto Turismo & Sport Auto Mechanics in Briarcliff Manor.

He is survived by his sons John (Debra) Mastroianni of Ridgefield, Conn. and Steven (Alison) Mastroianni of Brookfield, Conn., his daughter Lisa (Joseph) Mastro of Thornwood, his sister Flora Magliari of Thornwood, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mastroianni was predeceased by his wife Else Skrovje in 1994 and his sister Jenny Amelio.

The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh. Funeral arrangements were made by Hawthorne Funeral Home.
