ARMONK, N.Y. – With neither the New York Jets nor Giants in this year’s Super Bowl, local delis in Armonk have been impacted leading up to the big game.

“Definitely seeing less action, less orders this year,” said Rich Schriefer, owner of Schriefer’s Delicatessen, at 459 Main St. “Last year was not only two teams (Giants and New England Patriots) close to Westchester but it was a rematch of four years prior. It was a big deal.”

Schriefer pointed out he’s looking forward to next year’s Super Bowl, which will be in MetLife Stadium, home to the Jets and Giants.

“Hopefully, one of them will be in that one,” he said. “That would be great for business.”

As for this year, Schriefer said that while they won’t be doing anything out of the ordinary, his deli still will have everything necessary to have a good Super Bowl party.

“We’ll have two- to six-foot wedges and heroes, hot tray foods, wings, Italian specialties and sandwich platters with the best bread around,” he said.

Armonk Country Kitchen, 397 Main St., also will be ready for the big game, with a robust menu, including three kinds of Buffalo wings, three kinds of chili, hot and cold platters, salads, dips and wedges.
