WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The New York Legislature became the first state to pass legislation allowing women who become pregnant to qualify for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act on Wednesday, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The legislation awaits the signature of Gov. Andrew Cuomo to become state law.
The WSJ reports that similar legislation is under consideration in California.
