Holocaust Survivor's Daughter Will Share Story At Temple Shaaray Tefila

BEDFORD CORNERS, N.Y. -- Dr. Joanne Intrator will visit the Temple’s Jewish Heritage Center to discuss her experiences as the daughter of refugees from Hitler’s Germany and her fight to regain family property stolen by the Nazis.

Dr. Joan Intrator will recount her family plight in Nazi Germany and her subsequent investigation to recover stolen items during the 1930's.

After her father Gerhard Intrator’s death in 1993, Joanne took up the cause of pursuing restitution for her family’s Nazi-robbed property at 16 Wallstrasse in Mitte, the center-most district of Berlin.

The event will take place in the JHC and includes a short Shabbat Service, discussion and a wine and cheese reception.
