From Art History to card games, the North Castle Public Library is gearing up for dozens of events that run throughout October.
The Art History program continues at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2 with a discussion on Italian Futurism and continues with discussions on Umberto Boccioni on Oct. 9, a 6 and 8 p.m. discussion on Oct. 23 on Giorgio di Chirico and Carlo Carra.
Residents can also learn and practice Tai Chi with Certified Feldenkrais Movement & Tai Chi Instructor Lawrence Attile. Classes start at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Saturday mornings through October.
Residents can also continue to learn Bridge with Life Master Joel Goren at 1 p.m. on Saturdays throughout October. MahJongg with Westchester Teacher Regina Klenosky continues at 1 p.m. Sundays throughout October.
The First Tuesday Book Club discusses NW by Zadie Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. Residents can call 273-3887 to reserve a copy of this month's selection and sign up for the classes.
The library is also hosting a special discussion and presentation on "The Neanderthals Rediscovered: How Modern Science is Rewriting Their Story" with local authors Dimitra Papagianni and Michael A. Morse at 3 p.m. Oct. 6.
