Friday, April 19

Game Club: 3 p.m. Middle and high school students are welcome to play board games. North Castle Public Library, 19 Whippoorwill Road East, Armonk.

Author Talk: A Man and His Shp: 7:30 p.m. Author Steven Ujifusa discusses America's greatest naval architect William F. Gibbs and his creation of the passenger liner SS United States. The SS United States was a passenger liner that carried over one million people across the Atlantic. Steven has appeared on CSpan Book TV, CBS Sunday Morning and received a Meet the Press recommendation. In December, the Wall Street Journal named it one of the ten best non-fiction titles of 2012. Saturday, April 20

Zero Waste Day: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The town of North Castle will hold Zero Waste Day at the town hall. Residents can drop off a variety of waste in accordance with Zero Waste Day, which seeks to eliminate all waste and thinks of waste as a potential resource instead of a problem. Some of the waste that is collected will be recycled and the town will earn money on the scrap metal it collects. 15 Bedford Road, Armonk.

Spring Tag Sale and Craft Fair: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hosted by the Lions Clubs of Mt. Kisco, Bedford Hills, Armonk, Bedford Village and Pound Ridge at the Mount Kisco American Legion to benefit nursing and service scholarships. Free admission. 1 Brookside Ave, Mt. Kisco.

Learn Tai Chi in 2013: 10:30 a.m. Make tai chi your new hobby in 2013 at the North Castle Public Library with certified Feldenkrais movement and tai chi instructor Lawrence Attile. 19 Whippoorwill Road East, Armonk.

Chappaqua Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pick up farm fresh produce, meats, fish, cheese, breads and prepared food. Until the weather warms up, vendors and customers will gather at St. Mary’s Church Chappaqua. 191 S. Greeley Ave.

Sunday, April 21

Earth Day Celebration: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Katonah-based Country Children's Center will wrap up its annual Earth Day celebration at its “Farm” location Sunday, April 21, in Katonah. Scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at 466 Cross River Road, the event is part of the Country Children’s Center celebration of the Week of the Young Child.

Concert: Rising Star: 2 p.m. Asian-American students play classical and contemporary works with Western and traditional Chinese instruments. Free and open to the public. Chappaqua Public Library, 195 South Greeley Avenue.

Hot Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon: 3 p.m. The Friends of the Mount Kisco Public Library will have hors D’oeuvres at 2 p.m. before the jazz concert at 3 p.m. Ted Rosenthal and Houston Person will be performing.
